End Tables

Our kitchen, dining and living room are all one big space.  While the end tables have nothing to do with the dining room, I knew I wanted to paint them and since they are located near the dining room, I wanted to use some of the same colors.

All three tables are very special pieces.  Two were given to me by my dear friend of 41 years, Ada Ann Scott.  They belonged to her Mother and Ada gave them to me.  Ada passed away December 30, 2014.  When I began painting these two tables, I became very emotional thinking of Ada and how much she would love the colors Paul and I chose for them.

Paul and I got the third table at the Hole in the Wall Ranch when we were there getting married in July of 1996.  It was in the old lodge they were tearing down.  It had been painted over and over again and my friend, Cindy Thompson, helped me strip it down to the bare wood.  It was quite a chore giving the curves of the legs of the table.  Paul ended up sanding it too.  Then we just put a natural stain on it.  Well, it's been dressed up now.  Here's a "before":
